Historical Research Images

This collection of images was developed over a decade of historical and anthropological research. Mostly this involved mapping historical documents and archaeological data to better represent the stories I was telling. Most of the images come from my doctoral dissertation and tell the story of West Virginian Native American History. More maps, including a Native American gazetteer and Census data maps are in production and will be available soon. If you would like to use any of these maps for teaching purposes please email me and I will provide non-watermarked versions.

Visual Arts

Beyond my work depicting historical events, I am a working artist with a variety of media and styles. I have included sketches, ink and marker drawings, paintings, and digital pieces. The images show doodles, holiday and birthday cards, calendars, and variety of other materials in styles ranging from scenic to Celtic and even some attempts at Australian Aboriginal art. My wife and I run a mural business, as Yes And Studios, in the summers and evidence of that can be seen below in my gallery of mural work.

Classroom Experiences

The images above link to small galleries of my classroom experiences ranging from informal and formal presentations to public school and university classrooms from 2004 to the present.
